Digital History seminar at SU, 21 October 2025
On 25 October 2025, Orrje presented the draft paper: "Datamining the Swedish Bureau of Mines: Experiments with distant reading in an early modern administrative archive", analyzing the minutes and travelogues of the Bureau of Mines using LLM:s and text-mining methods.

On 26 September 2024, 13:15–15:00 the project arranged a workshop at the Department of History and Ideas at Uppsala University together with international guests from the SCARCE project at the university of Vienna.

Visit to Sala Silver Mine, 25 September 2024
Together with visitors from the SCARCE project at Vienna, the project visited the Sala Silver Mine. With the help of a tour guide, we descended the mine, reliving experiences of early modern mining workers and officials, while discussing pertinent research topics related to state-of-the-art mining and metal making history.

Uppsala Image Analysis Day 21 May 2024
On 21 May 2022, Jacob Orrje presented the project's digital methodology at the Uppsala Image Analysis Day at the Department of Information Technology – especially region and line segmentation and handwritten-text recognition and text annotation.

Workshop: A State in Motion
On 14–15 September 2023, the project arranged a workshop on the circulation of early modern state-related knowledge. During two days, researchers from a wide range of historical disciplines met at the Department of History of Science and Ideas and Department of Economic History at Uppsala University.
